Scripture from the Pantheon!



These are a few of the things I have been working on over these last weeks. The picture above  is of the first level design I made in haste and when building the level in unity I feel I have included most of the original intent as we see in this second picture.


i have increased the size of some areas and reduced some others. For the basic level dynamic i spent some time researching the hollow knight map as i feel the pacing is very well done in that game.

here is a closer look at the textures used for the level, i had no real reference for the tree branch like wooden structure so i just based it off of a nice birds nests. the lantern / lamp will act as the checkpoint / 'bonfire' if you will and will be lit by the player indicating a safe location.

Here we have a design for the main character and the design for the axe that they will be wielding. Hollow Knight was very heavily referenced in the making of this character as seen in the legs and to an extent the head.

Right now I am working on the movement system and background elements in order to have a very basic playable build to test pacing and scale of the character in the game space. I aim to have a playable version by the end of May, this will not be a full game without its problems and there is no current final release date or schedule.
